If I stood on the edge of a cliff and shouted out over into the canyons, would my voice roll like thunder and crack their Magnificence? If I whispered mantras, repeated them endlessly, mouthing them against the wind, would it carry them over the craggy faces of canyons, and etch them into time?
I hurt for so many reasons and the pain strains the Harpsichord to the point of breaking. Yet I choose to remain steadfast as the canyon walls: wind-battered, wind-shaped, wind-fast.
I cannot protect you from the daggers Life throws at you, no matter how many times I stand between them and you. If you are the target, you need to embrace Life and pick at Fear until it stands naked and exposed. I would gladly take the daggers instead of you, and I have so often, but just as you stood up the first time as an infant and took your first steps, you need to strive for Balance and Challenge your youthful heart the way it needs to be.
I find solace in silence and in contemplation. I recall pockets of time in which I achieved Balance and Harmony, and touched the ephemeral flames of unmasked Passion. I recognize that not all relationships are whole, and neither do I completely unite the ends of the Circles in the essential relationships in my life. Instead, I am in endless intertwining loops with many other Circles and we all connect to the greater Orb.
I am expected to give Love yet often feel so bereft of inspiration and drive. Little words of encouragement like raindrops, lift the drooping leaves of the unwatered plant. I become alive again.
If I stood on the edge, and shouted, then whispered, what would I say?
I can’t believe I’ve been blogging for seven years now. I don’t write as much as before but then again there are only a handful of blogs left from that time as most people have quit or migrated to other platforms.
I want to thank all the wonderful Boudoir readers for making blogging an enjoyable experience. I appreciate all of you in all your guises and your backgrounds. If readers could take a bird’s-eye view of the others on this blog, they would be fascinated like I always am by the diversity of the people who read and interact from time to time. It has really been a pleasure and an eye opener to interact with you all and I hope that if anything, this blog will be a platform for more understanding and a cultural bridge between people who would normally never meet in ordinary circumstances.
