Berhi fronds stand upright
wide
waving in the wind,
yet unwavering,
welcoming,
like when you lifted your arm the other night
surrendering my reserve;
the urge to be drawn
into your sphere,
becoming the embodiment of
your Spirit,
shifting into the Bulbul
that dances
on your panicled fronds
its glabrous belly
gliding past long
thorns,
its delicate feet
grasping the rachis
firmly
chirping into
spatial channels of
chance encounters
eternal echoes
after which
Bulbul just as suddenly
flies away.
