One of the new members of parliament reminds me of Santa Claus especially if he would let his wonderfully bushy beard grow white. He has twinkly blue eyes, reddish cheeks, and in one photo the fingers of his left hand are positioned delicately on his Santa like glasses.
On May 19th, Carme Chacón , the Spanish minister of defense gave birth and there was a debate on radio whether or not she would be given extended maternity leave. Did women warriors in the past do that? Deliver their babies and then take up arms again after they had sufficiently recovered?

hahahahhahahaha! plz photoshop, anyone?

Or Dumbledore?

If our illustrious “old is new again” MP would only stop dyeing his beard to hide the white that must be it’s true color, then hmmm… I could see the resemblance.
On a trivial side note: When we were teenagers, all the girls had huge crushes on his also blue-eyed and very handsome sons, especially the eldest who has sadly followed in his dads footsteps and is a carbon copy of him… (boy was he a bona fide babe ;P)

hehe
I like bona fide babe
What a compliment

Look them up..plenty in history…of course the history that was not written by men
And what about Sears? Were you thinking to be Santa’s Helper?

I say Carme Chacón deserves a long maternity leave and a pipping hot plate of Gabbou6.
You got to give it to our democracy. No other democracy in the human history had produced a parliament where Santa and Papa Smurf join forces in one team.

She deserves a long maternity leave but isn’t getting one:
“The Minister of Defence gave birth on Monday and will now share her maternity leave with her husband, but said she would also remain in touch with events at the ministry. She will take only half her maternity leave, and grant the remaining eight weeks to her husband. Some observers in Spain have seen that decision as advice from the Minister for working mothers.”
I guess her hubby will have to eat some gabbou6 too (some men love it!
). She will stay home for 8 weeks and he will do the rest.
What a great example to some fathers-to-be
With regards to Papa Smurf, I’m delighted that we all share a common interest in cartoons and imaginary beings.

The blue background reminds me of those Sears photos

What? Hahaha no thank you

I like the comparison! I commend her on her strength, the Spanish government is lucky to have someone such as her. Look at Israel’s Military, they have both men and women, and they operate very efficiently, and there were many woman warriors in the past, its sad that this backwards chimpanzees for heads of parliament! Hopefully some good will come from them.
I have high hopes for Nouriya and Dr Moothy!

I hope so too Marzouq

Our own MP/Santa Claus can also deliver delicious home-made cookies, brownies and cupcakes
(couldn’t resist that one!)

Ah, yes Mr. Zaydoun
Sugar and spice and all things nice!

Zaydoun and Jewaira-
In my case, a slice or two of the dreamily yummy “Candy Cake” might just make me amenable to wearing a nikab or an abaya for a little while (perhaps an hour or so) ;P
(couldn’t resist either, you two started it!)

Now now MsBaker, keep hold of your resolve there!
hehe loving all the playful innuendos
