Forgotten May 18, 2008

The remains of a woman reported missing 42 years ago have been found in her apartment in Zagreb, Croatia. Apparently she had sat down on her armchair to watch TV and placed a cup of tea on the table at her side and died.
Isn’t it amazing that no one went into that flat for 42 years? One would think the woman had relatives. Or that there would be an odor of decomposition (like we hear when it happens in Kuwait in bachelor flats). Or that there would be bills to pay?
It is frightening to be so forgotten in this big world, isn’t it?
