I love it when readers share bits of their lives with me and don’t mind sharing with other readers on this blog. I am very happy that the Boudoir is a cross-cultural meeting point where interesting readers share stories and viewpoints, on the blog or via private correspondence.
One dear reader shared this incident with me and I thought it was an amazing coincidence:
“…..I must tell you of one conversation between two women at the conference. They were talking together near me and I overheard their conversation.
One of the women, about 50 I guess, was telling the other one that she had recently moved from Cleveland, Ohio , to Miami.
While in Miami , she met a British woman and they became friends. At some point, she mentioned to her new British friend that when she was a little girl in Cleveland, she had a pen pal from Britain.
The British woman was astonished and said that when she was a little girl, she had a pen pal inĀ Cleveland!
It turns out that these two women had been each other’s penpal when they were little girls. They had long ago lost touch, and then they met as older women in Miami.
They each got out their old letters and read them together.
I found that story incredibly interesting. I take a spiritual approach to life, and I found that story to be very spiritual.”

It’s fate I guess. Some people are destined to meet each other in the most astonishing ways. They’re lucky and it’s sweet. Reminds me of a movie I like “Serendipity”.

You reminded me of my own Serendipity!
Those kinds of situations are what make one always look forward to a brighter tomorrow…and with anticipation

You are my first “Public Pen Pal” and it feel so good !
Most of the time really good, a really good feeling, nice to be a chemical coincidence that will pronounce “itself” as Fons.
Sky high and down to Earth, everywhere a chemical coincidence. So,… I am not alone.
Sometimes it will be different. Than I can/will feel myself not so well.
Sometime feel myself a hostage, a financial hostage in a capitalistic environment/thief gang.
To free myself from that hostage feeling (lol) I bike, nothing will free myself more than biking, believe me it is a meditation sometime it is so near related to flying. Really !
An universal rope dancer not even one moment or split second the same place.
Gonna be that grass, move like the cloud, turn inside out the whole/all/complete.
Sing some Pablo Neruda phrases an have to laugh the hostage problem. No problem at all.
So lucky to… have you in mind. There you go, through the Dutch landscape, such a lovely true unknown natural beauty with the hypnotic sound like a going one wave of innocent from Barikoo Yahbab.

Fons
I can really imagine the freedom you feel with your bike. It is a wonderful feeling I bet and you are very lucky!
I am honored to be your Public Pen Pal
and I am also so pleased to have you as a permanent Dutch member of the Boudoir.

I have had some similar amazing co-incidences . . .
I always listen to the experience, believing I am meant to do or understand something, even if it is just the amazingness of the coincidence. I love your story. It only works if we tell each other things, and then listen when the other speaks back.

Glad you could identify with that IntlXpatr
The story is related by a special friend/blogger who was very kind to allow me to share this overheard incident/conversation.

I had a penpal once, a beautiful Italian girl I met in Majorca when I was 12.
I wrote her 15 times and she wrote me once, took me a while but I got the hint.
I totally believe that we meet people during our life to carve us out and partially make us who we end up being, we also learn things from the experiences with these people that we wouldn’t learn from other people.
We’re all intertwined with the energies that we can’t see but sense and feel, isn’t it a shame that cultures and people still wish to keep so many secrets that we as a race could only benefit and become better from………….one day……………….maybe.
